William A. "BIll" Chaisson

William A. “Bill” Chaisson, of Lawrence, MA passed away after a short illness on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lawrence, the second youngest of nine siblings. Bill attended St. Anne’s Grammar School and then went on to graduate from Lawrence High School, class of 1964. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era and served as a Sergeant. After being discharged he went to work at Compugraphic/AGFA Corp. He and his wife, Patricia were avid worldwide travelers. Bill loved reading, more importantly he loved history. He had the best green thumb and loved tending to his plants around the house. Bill also enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas and Foxwoods. Nothing made Bill happier than being surrounded by his family and friends. His favorite person to spend time with was his beloved grandson, Alexander. They were best buddies. William was predeceased by his parents, George Chaisson of Maine and Eva (Laviolette) Chaisson of Prince Edward Island; his siblings, Albert Chaisson, Raymond Chaisson, John “Jack” Chaisson, Roger Chaisson and their baby sister, Ruth Chaisson. The family would like to thank Merrimack Valley Hospice and Pathways Healthcare for their care given to Bill. Bill is survived by his wife of fifty years, Patricia (Dufresne) Chaisson of Lawrence; his adored daughter, Debra Wakeley and her husband, Michael of Lawrence; cherished grandson, Alexander Wakeley. He is also survived by his sisters, Elaine Charest and her husband, Robert of Hampstead, NH, Theresa Garden her late husband, Joseph of Windham, NH, and Rita Dionne her late husband, Paul of Methuen. In addition, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, great- nieces, and great- nephews. Per the family’s request, all services will be private.
