Robert "Bob" W. Dunham

Robert “Bob” W. Dunham, 74, of Methuen former longtime resident of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at Newton-Wellesley Hospital on February 6, 2021. Born in Lawrence on July 26, 1946 to the late William and Evelyn (Coleman) Dunham he graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1964. After graduation, Bob, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, honorably served his country in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon discharge, he enrolled at East Coast Aerotech and earned a degree in aircraft maintenance. Bob worked for USAir as a mechanic for 30 years until his retirement. As an avid animal lover, he rescued many animals through the years, especially dogs. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Mary M. (Milyaro) Desharnais Dunham and his two step-children; Danial Desharnais and his wife Jeannine, and Matthew Desharnais and his wife Cheri. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Rebecca Wheller, Adalyn Desharnais and Cari-Ann Maillet. A graveside service for Bob will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 10 AM at the St. Mary – Immaculate Conception Cemetery and Mausoleum, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence. Friends and family are cordially asked to meet directly at the mausoleum. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the cemetery and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. Bob’s family will understand and respect your decision.
