Mary Ann Pellegrino, age 97 of Boca Raton, FL passed peacefully on August 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Lawrence on April 11, 1921 to the late Vincent and Elvira (Lombardi) Pizzano. During the 1950’s, Mary was employed by the North Andover Police Department as one of the first 8 school crossing guards. She and her late husband Salvatore were married at Holy Rosary Parish in Lawrence. Mary was a former communicant of St. Michael’s Parish of North Andover. In 1962, Mary, her late husband and children moved to Commack, NY where the family operated a successful aviation business. As a result of the company’s success, Mary and Salvatore were able to travel the world. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Pellegrino. She was the devoted mother of Dr. Dennis Pellegrino and his wife Lorraine, Dr. Vincent Pellegrino, and Maryanne Juresich and her husband Glen. She was the loving grandmother of Joshua and his wife Jessica, Ericka, Ashley, Michael & Shannon. Mary was the cherished great grandmother of Michael Vincenzo. She was the dear sister of Vincent “Jimmy” (Alice) Pizzano. Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary/Corpus Christi Parish, 34 Common St. Lawrence.
