    Madeleine G. Fluet

    September 3, 1924 - June 13, 2019

Lawrence, MA. — Madeleine Fluet, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 13th at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Center. Madeleine, also lovingly known as “Maddie”, “Auntie Maddie”, and “Memere”, was the daughter of Ludger and Germaine (nee Schelling) Sirois. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence where she grew up with her seven brothers - Reverend George Sirois, O.M.I., John, Louis, Joseph, Vincent, Philip, and Frank; and six sisters - Marguerite Beaulieu, Sister Marie Germaine, Sister Rachel Sirois, Pauline Ichton, Martha Marchand, and Germaine Sheehan. Madeleine was predeceased by her loving husband, Will, and her two devoted sons, Richard and Mark. She is survived by her sister, Germaine Sheehan and Germaine’s husband, Jim, of Haverhill, MA; her grandchildren, Emily Facchina Fluet of Hong Kong and Adam Fluet and his wife, Rachel, of Melbourne, FL; one great-granddaughter, Cora; her daughters-in-law, Christina Fluet of Newburyport, MA and Marla Fluet of Satellite Beach, FL; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. Madeleine’s family was most important to her and she was happiest at family gatherings, particularly if they were at the beach! Everyone who met Maddie was touched by her kindness and warmth, and she had a rare gift for making every person with whom she encountered feel special. She drew people in with her radiant smile, as well as a genuine interest and concern for others. Her strength and faith in God was an inspiration to everyone who met her and she served as the ultimate role model to her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, June 16th, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Kenneth H Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 17th, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (formerly St. Theresa’s), 22 Plymouth St, Methuen, MA. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. Arrangements are by Kenneth H Pollard Funeral Home.
