Charles “Charlie” Beaudette, age 98 passed away peacefully on October 13, 2019 at his place of residence; Henry C. Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Methuen MA. Charlie was born in Lawrence on December 27, 1920. He was raised in Methuen where he attended school. Following his education, Charles served in the Army, PFC, during World War II from 1942-1945. Following his honorable discharge from Army, Charles married his wife Mary (Ford) Beaudette. Charlie worked at Converse for many years until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan; football, baseball and especially bowling. He won numerous championships thru the years with his bowling league. But his biggest passion was for the Methuen Youth Baseball where he coached for many years. Charlie proudly wore his Methuen Youth Baseball cap and jacket. He also was a proud member of the Lions Club for many years. He served as treasurer and helped organize numerous fundraising events. Charlie is predeceased by his parents Yvonne (Langlois) and Charles Beaudette, wife Mary, brother Alphonse, sisters Theresa, Rita, Beatrice and Irene. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Leda Noel, Bernadette (Bunny) Beaudette, Yvonne Roy and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care and affection shown to Charlie during his stay. Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen.
