    Charlene DeBenedetto

    June 15, 1951 - February 14, 2021

Charlene DeBenedetto, 69 of Methuen, passed away on February 14, 2021. Born in Lawrence on June 15, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clare (McAvoy) Budrevich. Charlene graduated from Tenney High School in Methuen, class of 1969. She attended Northern Essex Community College and obtained an associate’s degree in business. She started her career at Hanscom AFB and worked for the past 35 years for the IRS in Andover. Charlene was the life of any party and enjoyed celebrating all holidays. She was well known for her over-the-top festive outfits and for sending confetti filled cards. Charlene was an avid animal-lover and her dogs were like her babies. The lake was her happy place and she loved spending time sitting on her porch looking out at the water. Charlene will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Michael, and loving daughters, Stacey and Melissa. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann, her husband Warren Floyd, and Dorothy McMullin, as well as her aunt, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, countless cousins, and honorary grandchildren, Zack and Zoe. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Charlene’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4 – 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks will be required at the funeral home and the church, and social distancing must be followed. If you have a health or other underlying concern, please do not attend. Charlene’s family will understand and respect your decision.
