March 30, 1945 - April 29, 2020
Arthur Louis Thibault passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 after a brief battle with Covid-19. Arthur was born on March 30, 1945 in Moultrie, GA. He resided most of his life in Lawrence and Methuen. His 75th birthday was recently celebrated on WBZ Channel 4 when his family came to surprise him with signs, balloons, and cupcakes outside of Bear Mountain of Andover, where he was recovering from a recent fall. Arthur was the son of the late Arthur N. Thibault and Florida (Dubois) Thibault. Arthur graduated from Lawrence High School and retired from Malden Mills in 2007. He loved working and was a hard worker at whatever job he did. Arthur loved his whole family and his joy came from spending time with them. He especially loved going to the mall for his Wayback Burger or out to eat with his family at the 99 Restaurant or Mary Ann’s Diner or to go for ice cream at Peach Tree Farm or Mann’s Orchard. He loved rides to the beach or mountains as well as going to plays, concerts, and movies. He enjoyed playing cribbage and listening to the oldies station and watching all the old shows and movies on TV. In his life, he visited many places including; California, Florida, and Medugorie. Arthur had a very strong faith in God and loved going to mass. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Methuen. Arthur was the oldest of six children. He is survived by a loving brother and four loving sisters; Richard Thibault, his dedicated caregiver Pauline Dubois and her husband Leo, Francoise Naffah and her husband Allen, Therese Witkum and her husband Dale, and Marie Stevens and her husband Robert Brangwynne. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews and their families. He will be greatly missed by his dear friend Dorothy Johnson. Arthur will be greatly missed by his whole family. We will never be the same. He taught us all many life lessons about unconditional love, patience, kindness, and thankfulness. He never said goodbye without thanking us over and over. A special thank you and deep appreciation to Sharon Witkum and the devoted, selfless staff at Bear Mountain in Andover. In this heart breaking time of social distancing, they treated our brother, Arthur with the love, care, and kindness that he needed when his family could not be here. A memorial service to celebrate Arthur’s life will be scheduled at a later date. For online guestbook, please visit the funeral home website, www.pollardfuneralhome.com. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Thibault Family.
