    Arleen Marsan

    October 20, 1932 - February 22, 2020

    Lawrence- Arleen (Chabot) Marsan, 87, passed away on February 22, 2020, at Tufts Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1932 to the late Joseph and Anna Rose Chabot in Lawrence. Arleen attended Lawrence High School, and graduated with the class of 1952. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church in Lawrence, where Arleen and Joseph “Ray” were joined in Holy Matrimony. Arleen spent 25 years at Raytheon, working as an assembler. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with family and cooking for them. Arleen was known to all by her great sense of humor and her love for a good joke, as well as engaging people in discussions about local and national politics. Her other interests included her love for books and sharing them with others. Arleen will be greatly missed by her loving family, especially her husband Joseph “Ray” Marsan, of 67 wonderful years. She was the mother to three beautiful children, Donna Themeles and her husband Evan of Dracut, Michael Marsan of Lawrence, and Stephen Marsan and his wife Laura of Salem. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Jason Quinn, Lisa LaPlante, Stefanie Fournier, Joseph Marsan, and Jeffery Quinn. Arleen is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and two siblings. Friends and family are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, from 4-7 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, located at 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11 AM, at St. Patrick’s Parish, located at 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, MA. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. In lieu of flowers, Arleen’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or at stjude.org/donations.
