Angela (Gelineau) Laverriere died on August 21, 2018 at her home at Marguerite’s House in Lawrence, MA. She was 89. Angela was born in Haverhill, MA, the daughter of Josephine and Charles Gelineau. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and lived her entire life in Lawrence. Before her retirement, she worked at Lucent Technology. She was an avid reader and card player, especially poker and bridge, and, in the early years following her retirement, enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. Her husband, Joseph Laverriere, Jr., her brother, Charles Gelineau, and her sisters, Mary Lariviere and Georgette Berube, predeceased her. She cherished her son, Kenneth Laverriere, and his wife, Patricia, who reside in Lloyd Harbor, NY. She loved and was so proud of her four grandchildren: Elizabeth Laverriere, of Philadelphia; Katherine Laverriere, of Seattle; Caroline Leonard and her husband, Daniel, of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Gregory Laverriere, of Manhattan. She also cared deeply for her sister, Denise Sarcione, and her husband, Vincent, and her sister-in-law, Lucille Camire and her husband, George. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she enjoyed and loved very much. Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at St. Augustine’s Parish, 35 Essex St. Andover. Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery of Andover.
