Pollard Funeral Home was founded by Kenneth H. Pollard in 1953--- the year Tenney High School was built, and the city of Lawrence celebrated its 100-year anniversary. He and his staff offered services in the spirit of our family helping your family. From the first day, we have been as close and ready to help as a good neighbor.
The Tradition Continues
In a time when the concept of neighbors helping neighbors is becoming lost in daily life, we are proud that we are able to carry on this tradition by offering a caring and capable staff and comfortable surroundings in order to help those who grieve.
In 1969, our tradition continued to the next generation when Michael N. Pollard joined his father in the family business. Michael and his wife, Maureen, purchased the funeral home in 1993, thus perpetuating Pollard Funeral Home as the source for complete funeral information and professional guidance. Through the years, families of the greater Lawrence area have appreciated our efforts to help them arrange meaningful and appropriate funeral services.

Pollard Funeral Home is proud of Methuen and we believe that we have an on going responsibility to enhance the quality of life for its citizens. Our contribution to the community goes far beyond the funeral service. We know that the funeral itself is only the first step in the grieving process. In the weeks and months that follow, we continue to serve by keeping in touch and offering assistance. We can help connect people with support groups and other resources of comfort during the difficult times, as they desire.
Our staff members are involved in organizations dedicated to making Methuen a better place to live. We support our school children with projects such as the Read Aloud program. We also help our senior citizens with pre-planning seminars and free transportation for the Seniors Annual Ball.
To familiarize people with funerals, the related decisions that must be made and other aspects of our service before the need arises, we offer tours of our facility to interested community groups.
